Many people refer to this park below the Hollywood sign as "the dog
park" but it actually isn't. Dogs are supposed to be on leash, but that rule is often flouted.
DIRECTIONS
Notes:
- The first two routes are the same just coming from north and south on the 101 freeway
- The second two routes are the same once you get to the intersection of Barham Blvd. and Lake Hollywood Dr.
From Downtown LA:
- Exit the 101 NORTH at GOWER/BEACHWOOD and make the first RIGHT (before the end of the off ramp) into BEACHWOOD DR
- Turn LEFT onto LEDGEWOOD DR. (up past the Hollywoodland gates)
- Bear LEFT onto DERONDA DR. (second stop sign)
- DERONDA DR becomes LEDGEWOOD DR. again.
- Turn LEFT onto HEATHER DR.
- Turn RIGHT onto DURAND DR.
- Turn LEFT onto MULHOLLAND HWY.
- MULHOLLAND HWY becomes CANYON LAKE DR as you go down the hill.
- The park is on the right under the Hollywood sign.
From the San Fernando Valley:
- Exit the 101 SOUTH VINE and go straight onto Franklyn (instead of turning right onto Vine)
- Turn Left on BEACHWOOD DR.
- Turn LEFT onto LEDGEWOOD DR. (up past the Hollywoodland gates)
- Bear LEFT onto DERONDA DR.
- DERONDA DR becomes LEDGEWOOD DR. again.
- Turn LEFT onto HEATHER DR.
- Turn RIGHT onto DURAND DR.
- Turn LEFT onto MULHOLLAND HWY.
- MULHOLLAND HWY becomes CANYON LAKE DR
- The park is on the right under the Hollywood sign.
From the San Fernando Valley (another route):
- Exit the 101 SOUTH at BARHAM.
- Turn LEFT on CAHUENGA Blvd and then LEFT onto BARHAM BLVD.
- At the top of BARHAM BLVD, turn RIGHT onto LAKE HOLLYWOOD DR
- At the first intersection bear LEFT onto PRIMERA AVE and immediately turn RIGHT onto LA SUVIDA DR (this is a shortcut; you can stay on Lake
Hollywood if you want to)
- Bear LEFT at LAKE HOLLYWOOD and continue up the hill to the right.
- Bear LEFT onto MONTLAKE DR (you actually go straight as Lake Hollywood is a right turn that you don't want to take). This meanders
around the lake.
- Turn LEFT up the hill onto TAHOE DR.
- Turn RIGHT onto CANYON LAKE DR.
- The park is on the left under the Hollywood sign.
From Glendale:
- Exit the 134 WEST at W ALAMEDA AVE toward HOLLYWOOD WAY.
- Turn LEFT onto W ALAMEDA AVE.
- Turn LEFT onto N HOLLYWOOD WAY.
- Turn RIGHT onto W OLIVE AVE.
- W OLIVE AVE becomes BARHAM BLVD.
- At the top of BARHAM BLVD, turn LEFT onto LAKE HOLLYWOOD DR
- At the first intersection bear LEFT onto PRIMERA AVE and immediately turn RIGHT onto LA SUVIDA DR (this is a shortcut; you can stay on Lake
Hollywood if you want to)
- Bear LEFT at LAKE HOLLYWOOD and continue up the hill to the right.

The game is casual (bring your lights and darks). All levels are welcome. Play
usually lasts until 5:00 PM or sunset.
