I’d like the name “Fab Five Freddy” to be considered as a team name.
POWER RANKINGS! I always love to see Chad’s power rankings. I aspire to someday see my team atop chad’s rankings.
My far less scientific gut feeling rankings tells me there’s a few teams you don’t want to be matched up against in the first few rounds of the tournament, even though you ranked them quite low.
Joan Jett – Sam Regier has been injured all season, but if Sam and Knuckles both make the tourney, the blackhearts might get exactly what they need to challenge a top team in the first round.
Whitesnake. When they show up at the tourney at full strength, it’s going to be ugly. Andy B drafted for the tournament and will be coming in with some very tough male matchups and throwers to get it to them.

Black will give a top seed a challenge in the first round. With the top 2 getting first round byes, will we see potential tournament matchups throwing late season games just to avoid the 3 seed?
Red had the (dis)pleasure of playing White at near full strength and it was a very tough game. When Yugo shows up refreshed at tournament time they will be very solid.
And I hear that Gray team is pretty good.

a few clarifications to the lead post regarding tonight’s game:
1) sienna was born on july 24th, not the 25th. AJ was also born on the 24th. coincidence? absolutely.
2) i’m not working on her I/O flick. i’m going straight to the double helix scoober. i’m hiring biclops to work on her I/O flick.
3) the hellions v. hellions matchup won’t be nearly as epic as it looks on paper. jaws is heading to france for a couple weeks (poor gal), swift/balls is still traveling the USA, and i think tails has moved to seattle.
I would like to propose the theory that Midnight is undefeated so far NOT (just) because of their mad skills, but because they have the most awesome name. Props to whoever thought of it.
To answer your question Leah, Kevin Rowland and Kevin “Al” Archer can be thanked for coming up with the name Dexys Midnight Runners in 1978 in Birmingham, England, naming the band after Dexedrine, a brand of dextroamphetamine popularly used as a recreational drug among Northern Soul fans at the time. The midnight runners referred to the energy the Dexedrine gave, enabling one to dance all night.
I meant naming the team for the band, but I had no idea where the band name came from, so thanks!
