COME SUPPORT SURVIVORS OF DOMESTIC ABUSE!
Because, 1 in 3 women fall victim to Domestic Violence
We are a group called “S.H.E.” (Sisters Helping Everyone) and we are working with a non-profit organization founded by Trish Steele called “Safe Passage.” This organization offers support for victims of abuse, family violence, domestic violence, battered women and children. “Safe Passage” is on a quest to provide extreme life makeovers for women and children who have overcome domestic violence and abuse. Since 1992, over 1,000 women have come to Safe Passage Home for support. This organization has changed the lives of many women through the help of donations and supporters.
We are going to hold a fundraiser through a game of Ultimate Frisbee to help raise money to fulfill the many necessities needed to improve the lives of abused battered women and children.
Here are the standard logistics for the event:
Event: Ultimate Frisbee tournament
Location: California State University Northridge, North Field
Date: May 2, 2009
Time: 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
