12th Annual St. Pat's Hat

What: LAOUT is proud to be continuing the St. Pat's Hat tradition started by Mo in 1995. St. Pat's is a coed hat tournament (each player signs up as an individual and is assigned to a team for the weekend). You must pre-register and pre-pay. Please note that this is a 2-day tournament. If you only plan to attend one day, indicate this on your signup sheet.

When: Saturday & Sunday March 25-26, 2006. Games begin at 9:00 am Saturday. Please arrive at 8:15 to get your shirt, meet your teammates, and warm up. There will be a captains' meeting at 8:45.

Where: Balboa fields in Encino, CA

How: Click here for signup info The first 192 people to register (on time) are guaranteed a team (and a shirt), players who register after that will be added to a standby list pending the creation of another team or replacement of players who drop out. See more info on gender breakdown below. Postmark deadline is March 10.

Format: 12 coed teams. We are shooting for a 4 men/3 women on the field format this year, which means that priority will be given to the first 120 men and the first 72 women who sign up.

Extras: Field-food (water, bananas and anything else tasty on sale at Costco) for Saturday and Sunday. For the winning team? Cha-ching?!?

Party: After games, starting around 6 pm at Springbok Bar & Grill, 16153 Victory Blvd. in Van Nuys 91316. Beer & food discount. Citysearch map here.

Attire: T-shirts will be provided in a different shade of green for each team. Please bring white and black shirts also because some of them greens are hard to tell apart! It's especially cool, though not required, to play in a green hat.

Refund Policy: Full refund until March 10. No refunds after that.

Details: Registered players should arrive at 8:15 AM Saturday morning so you have time to sign in, get your shirt, find your team, and warm up before games start at 9:00. Bring a water bottle to drink out of (we'll provide the water), white and black T-shirts, sunblock, and your fun self...
