Winter League 2010 Survey Results

Roughly 45% have responded.
Survey Monkey won’t let me send any one poll to more than 100 people, so I copied the poll five times, and sent each one to different demographic groups so I could get more interesting results. Here they are:

Footblocks: Although younger women don’t like them, and older women for the most part don’t care, men of any age overwhelmingly prefer them by an almost 4-1 ratio, so it appears footblocks are coming back to Winter League.
3-division format: Interesting results. Regardless of age or gender, more people seem to support moving to a 3-division format, to make games more competitive. By a nearly 3-1 ratio. We’ve got several ideas on how to do this, depending in large part on how many teams sign up, and the expected strength of the teams.
Gender ratio: This is clearly the closest race. As a reminder, the current rule is 5/2 or 4/3 offense chooses, but at least 4 women need to show up on both teams, or it’s 5/2 the entire game. This question sparked the most comments, and the fewest ”unsure/don’t care” answers. Everyone seems to have an opinion on this issue. The only group that is not split in their vote are older guys, who prefer the current rule by a nearly 2-1 margin. Sarah and I will talk more about this, and I think there’s a very good compromise option as well, that a couple people suggested.

I really want to play but don’t have a team
