When: Saturday March 6, 2004. Games start at 9 AM.
Four rounds of games. The A bracket finals will start at least 30 minutes later than the other games
in round 4 for the Special Event Set-up and to allow everyone to get to see a good part of the finals.
Where: Balboa Park in Encino. Directions: From the 101 (just west of the 405
junction), exit at Balboa Blvd. heading north. Go straight through the first traffic light after
the freeway (Burbank Blvd.), and you'll see the fields
on your left.
Water and fruit will be provided. And probably bagels too. But please bring extra just in case.
Party following the finals at Chevy's on Ventura Blvd.
Also, Dan Williams, official Winter League 2004 photographer, will be around to take team pictures.
Make sure you find him if you haven't gotten the team picture, so we can put them all on the website.
Seeding: The top two teams from each Division will be seeded
1-4 and will get first round byes, with the top team
from each division seeded 1 & 2. The next eight teams regardless of division will be seeded 5-12 and will
make up the A bracket. The bottom six teams seeded 13-18 will be in the B bracket. The top two B teams
(#13 & 14) will get first round byes.
Seeding will be done based on the following criteria:
1) Winning percentage
2) Head-to-head
3) Strength of schedule
4) Point differential
