Women's League 2006 FAQ

What is Women's League?

Women's League is a hat league (meaning people sign up as individuals and are placed on a team, the idea being to spread out the beginners and the experienced players so that each team has a mix of both) organized by the Los Angeles Organization of Ultimate Teams (LAOUT). This is LAOUT's 1st year organizing a women's league!

Why?

To promote the growth of women's ultimate in LA, and give players the opportunity to play with and against all women, as an alternative to coed.

When does it happen?

Women's League will be played on 4 consecutive Saturdays in the late spring: April 29, May 6, 13 & 20. Games will start at 9:30 am. We have the field reserved until noon, so that should allow us plenty of time to play a game to 17 and then be off the fields by noon. Nicole will be running a warmup and skills & drills session for anyone who wants to come early. That will start promptly at 8:30 each week, so if you are interested, show up in time to find parking and get your cleats & sunscreen on before 8:30 (the field will be open at 8 am).

Where?

Cal State Northridge. Directions here in a Word document.

Who can play?

Women's League is open to female ultimate players of all skill levels who live in the greater Los Angeles area. The league is beginner friendly.

How do I join the league?

Anyone interested in participating should register for the league. Go to the Registration Form for instructions. Your check must be POSTMARKED by April 7, 2006.
